Best upcoming Smartphones to lookout for in 2021

Last year we saw the rise of many new innovative ideas in the field of smartphones. Some were quite successful while some were not quite up to the mark.  From the release of many new fold-able smartphones to smartphones with wings and the return of flip phones. 2020 has really set the bar high for the smartphone industry.

With every passing year smartphones have been getting better and better. Not only the specs but the designs have also improved considerably. The innovation can only get more advanced and futuristic and hopefully we will see some of the most innovative ideas become a reality in 2021.

Without further ado, here are some of the most innovative and anticipated upcoming smartphones of 2021:

The LG roll-able smartphone:

First up on the list is the new LG rollable smartphone. Not much is known about this phone but one thing that we are sure of is that the phone is a roll-able phone. LG first unveiled the phone at the CES 2021 conference this January. While it sounds impossible we could see the advent of new innovation in the field of smartphones by the end of 2021.

Oppo X 2021 roll-able phone:

While 2020 was the year of fold-able phones, 2021 may just be the year of roll-able phones. Next up, is another roll-able phone from the tech giant Oppo. They were the ones who came up with the concept of roll-able phones in 2020. They first release the concept of roll-able phones somewhere in November last year. While it's still a concept we could be seeing the actual phone getting released in late 2021.

The OnePlus 9 series:

Oneplus has been going strong for the past few years and this year also they are not backing down. Oneplus is all set to release the OnePlus 9 series this year somewhere in march. There are 3 phones in the 9 series; OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 pro and the OnePlus 9E. Rumor has it that the OnePlus series will get new modes and features like the moon mood and starburst and other exciting camera features.
While not much is known about the other specifications of the phones, the price of the phone is expected to be around 50k INR.

Nokia:

Next up we have one of the biggest phone companies, Nokia. While Nokia was a household name during the keypad era. With the short hiatus they had Nokia had lost the household status in many countries. However after their return in 2017 Nokia has been making a huge comeback since then. They are set to release the many new models such as the Nokia 7.3, the Nokia 9.3 PureView and hopefully the Nokia 10. While not much is known about the Nokia 9.3 and Nokia 10 the Nokia 7.3 that will have snapdragon 690 5G chip-set. Nokia 7.3 is expected to be released in March 2021 in the price range of 30k inr.

Samsung Galaxy z flip 3:

Samsung has released quite a few fold-able phones and has also popularized the trend of fold-able smartphones. Not only that they have also started to release smart flip phones. Just like last year they are all set to release the successor of the Samsung galaxy z flip 2. The new Samsung Galaxy z flip 3 is an improve and updated version of the z flip 2. While not much is known about the specs and features of the new model the device is rumored to be released somewhere in the first half of 2021.

As per rumors xiaomi is all set to release three new fold-able/flip phones this year. As tweeted by Ross Young CEO of DSCC Xiaomi has been in contact with fold-able smartphones to be in work with. While no other new statements have been release, rumors of new fold-able/flip phones in development by Xiaomi has been floating around the internet since last year. Hopefully we get to see their take on the trend of fold-able/ flip phones by the end of this year.

Iphone 13:

What's a list of new smartphones without the Iphone. While only a few months has pass since the release of Iphone 12 pro max, news of the new Iphone series has hit the market. Apple is all set to release the Iphone 13 series by late 2021. While not much is known about the new phone, rumor has it that one of the Iphone 13 series will have a 1TB internal memory variant. However that is not the only rumor going on around, as stated by apple insider, Iphone 13 will have a "port-less" model and will rely on MagSafe for charging and other accessories.

Motorola Nio:

Motorola is all set to release Motorola Nio in February. As far as the specs go the phone looks quite impressive with an Octa-core processor. The phone will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, the phone is said to have 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal memory. The phone is backed up by an impressive 5000 mAh battery. The price of the phone will be in the range of 42k INR.

Well that's it folks, hundreds of new smartphones will be release this year but since I could not write about all the upcoming smartphones in a single article, I decided to only include the above mention phones since they have been hype. Hopefully 2021 will be a year of new innovations in the field of smartphones, yes, we get new innovative smartphones every year but some of the innovations were not consumer friendly - like for example certain of the phone brands taking out the headphone jack or not including the charger. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best innovative year yet.
